Authorities canceled restrictions on the passage of vehicles for the delivery of goods to retail chains

Since March 17, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has lifted restrictions on travel in the urban area of ​​transport, ensuring the supply of goods to retail chains.

Limitations canceled for one month. In turn, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) will open a “green corridor” for food and non-food essentials, which are purchased by large retail chains and importers, Mishustin emphasized.

Preferential loans will be provided to merchants, the Prime Minister noted and added that supporting the trading industry is a priority in connection with the spread of coronavirus. Trading networks must have an adequate supply of essential goods.

The epidemic of coronavirus, which is the causative agent of severe pneumonia COVID-19, began in late December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on March 11 the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the WHO, by March 16, 169 thousand people were infected in the world, 77 thousand people were cured, 6518 people died. By March 15, 63 people were ill in Russia.
