China during the last round of negotiations with the United States agreed to reduce the imbalance in mutual trade, the Ministry of Commerce of China reported.
Also, the capital is ready to start actively increasing imports of American agricultural products.
“The parties held honest, fruitful and substantive discussions,” the statement reads.
The main topics of the talks were trade imbalances, problems of intellectual property rights protection and non-tariff barriers. The representatives of China and the United States also clarified the further schedule of negotiations.
On the eve of the President of the United States threatened to introduce new duties if the parties do not conclude a trade deal until the spring.
