According to current information, loading on the Moscow Railway, a branch of Russian Railways in August 2019 amounted to 6.4 million tons, which is 6.4% more than in the same period last year.
Cargo turnover in August 2019 decreased by 3.7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 10.4 billion tariff ton-km. Cargo turnover, taking into account the empty run of cars during the same time, decreased by 2.8% and amounted to 13 billion ton-km.
Loading in January-August 2019, according to current data, increased by 2.9% compared to last year, to 47.6 million tons.
Rail loaded:
- crude oil and petroleum products – 11.1 million tons (-0.1% compared to January – August 2018);
- iron and manganese ores – 13.5 million tons (+ 8.9%);
- ferrous metals – 2.9 million tons (+ 1.6%);
- ferrous metal scrap – 2.5 million tons (+ 3.4%);
- chemical and mineral fertilizers – 3.7 million tons (-0.9%);
- cement – 1.3 million tons (+ 12.7%);
- timber cargo – 263.6 thousand tons (+ 17.7%);
- chemicals and soda –1.3 million tons (+ 28.1%);
- industrial raw materials and molding materials –1.7 million tons (+ 27.3%).
