Vladivostok Fish Terminal spoke about its capabilities during the III International Exhibition of the Fish Industry, Seafood and Technology in St. Petersburg. The company is building a modern refrigeration and warehouse complex in Vladivostok and is developing container transportation of fish products, reports RIA Vostok-Media.
At the exhibition, held in the northern capital from July 10 to July 12, market participants presented major logistics projects in the fishing industry. Vladivostok Fish Terminal participated in the Seafood Expo Russia with its booth. Recall that this subsidiary of OJSC Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok. At the exhibition, Far Eastern port workers spoke about their unique capabilities in the field of fish cargo logistics.
This year, Vladivostok Fish Terminal started the practical implementation of the project for the construction of a refrigeration and storage complex on the territory of the Fish Port. This will be the most modern complex of this class in the Far East, which, after commissioning, will not only increase the capacity of the Fish Port for the storage of fish products, but also bring the quality of services to a new level.
But besides the implementation of this large-scale project, the company already provides its customers with a range of freight forwarding and logistics services in the field of fish cargo. And we are talking not only about sending frozen fish products to the European part of Russia by rail, but also about deliveries to the countries of Western Europe. In this case, deliveries are made by sea using reefer containers – a modern means of delivering fish products. Unlike refrigerated wagons, the contents of a container equipped with a compact refrigeration unit do not need to be overloaded each time when changing the mode of transport. Such a container can be loaded onto a vessel in Vladivostok, upon arrival at the port of destination, reloaded onto a railway platform, and then into a motor vehicle and delivered to the consignee.
We work with all types of rolling stock intended for the transportation of fish products. These include refrigerated wagons, cars equipped with refrigeration units, and refrigerated containers. It is convenient for companies that deliver fish from the fishing areas through the port of Vladivostok to get the whole range of services in one place, ”said Alexey Zlatkin, general director of Vladivostok Fish Terminal LLC.
